8-Hour class divided into two sessions

Great for those who have some experience with stained glass and want to push their work to the next level and suitable for artists who are confident in their ability to make things- “already crafty folks”! This class provides a more complex/challenging pattern for you to really learn about stained glass in detail and leave with a more refined piece! I will cover all of the steps in the stained glass making process and hold your work to high standards of precision and quality. The first session will cover an introduction to color theory as you select pieces of glass to work with from my collection of glass. I have a large collection of colors and textures! I will show you how to transfer the pattern onto the glass and we will score and break each piece. I will explain different techiques for cutting and things to look out for as you go. You will then grind each piece of your glass to precisely fit together and match the pattern. The second session will begin with copper foiling your project. After you foil we will solder. You will be able to take your time and refine your work at this step and together we will make sure it ends up super nice and neat! We will then clean, patina, and polish the piece before adding a chain and calling it a day!
