4-Hour Workshop

This four hour workshop provides an easy introduction to the final steps of stained glass making using the Tiffany technique. Students will be provided with a pre-cut and fit stained glass piece that is ready to be foiled and soldered. Pico will provide step by step instructions as well as all of the tools and safety gear needed to complete the project in her private studio in Downtown Ventura, CA. You will walk away with a finished piece of stained glass art that you made, ready to hang!

What to expect: You will be in a working glass studio, please dress in shop appropriate clothing and shoes! Closed-toe shoes that are comfortable to stand in are a requirement, long pants are strongly recomended. Be prepared to tie back long hair. We will be using oil-based chemicals that can stain your clothing and hot solder that can burn your clothing so please do not wear your favorite outfit! I will provide you with appropriate gloves, masks, and safety glasses, if you would like to bring your own apron please do so but be advised we will be working with lead- no aprons that will return to your kitchen. You will be standing for most of the workshop. We will take a short break between foiling and soldering. There are two small on-site parking spaces as well as 2-hour parking on Main st. and unlimited parking on Laurel and Kalorama, Laurel is closest. There is a private single gender-neutral bathroom in studio. Climate controlled.
